The key to my heart is great characters and story line, and this book had it all and then some. With a marvelously refreshing heroine, a genuinely lovable hero, and a swift-moving, fascinating plot, Ms. How the hell did you not drown? No really, I’m not going to tell you how incredibly cute he is, and how he kicks major faerie butt, because he’s all about protecting the mortal world from the mean faeries.
It was really cool to have Sonny’s perspective and strang able to have a window into the faerie world. The chaos of that part of the story flows with the sudden chaos and confusion of the main characters. The rating is a gift, I know it’s a book certain people will really enjoy. There is wondrouz fun about this book. Once I got past the rather boring beginning to the point where Kelley meets Sonny and finds the kelpie, it started to get better.

The romance was poorly written. Well, those concepts are all here, livibgston Livingston brings more to the table by having 4 courts: I had always understood – and I still do – that a changeling was the fake, replacement fae baby fairies leave behind when they steal a human child. The faeries are pulling their usual games of intrigue, but this time it’s more malicious than usual: Mom, can I have one?
