It is getting rather predictable and the characters are getting on my nerves, or is it just the writers writing? But some of them seemed to have just changed fundamentally. Dracula was a yndead.

This was not that case. If you want to read a decent Dracula pastiche, pick up The Historian. I know that many people have readily slated this book as being ridiculous. Not only was the plot terrible, the authors are given to using inane dracul such as “Dracula made Mina feel like a woman”, a sentence which would probably be rejected from a Mills and Boon for being too hoary.
