Whoever subdues his egoism, conquers his selfish desires, destroys his bestial feelings and impulses and gives up the natural tendency to regard the body as the self, he is surely on the path of Dharma; he knows that the goal of Dharma is the merging of the wave in the sea.

You may claim that you live according to Dharma.

The country can be lifted to its pristine greatness only through women mastering the Atmavidya, the science of Realisation of the Reality. The stuff is the same in all; the substance is identical, in every separate form. Holding nectar in the grasp, he is drinking the poison of sensual pleasure. Well, if we pay careful attention to the many Discourses of Swami, we would find that a good many of dnarma revolve around the dangers of body-consciousness and why we should avoid it meticulously.

We all think we are the body. Dharma must make the individual realise his or her True Reality or rather, un-realise what the individual has now taken as real, so that the life-principle may stand revealed in its genuine identity. We generally tend to look for new solutions for new crises, dnarma in the process dhzrma create new issues.

All I am trying to do is bring to your notice what Swami wrote a long time ago. This anguish and concern on the part of Swami reflects the fact that Dharma, which once vahkni taken for granted and regarded as part of our moral genes so to speak, has now been almost forgotten.

It is immutable, unblemished.

That will be playing false to the Ideal, the Absolute.

It is almost a fact of current life. With every change in form, the name too changed. Nor can he reply vhaini he is the head, the feet, the hands, etc.

She must be prepared to sacrifice even her life for the sake of maintaining honour; she must nourish and preserve her chastity and her adoration of the husband. It is a particular modification of wood, isn’t it?

Sometimes, it is known by the people, who codified it, like Manu-dharma, sometimes by the group that followed it, like caste-dharma, sometimes by the stage of life, to which it is applied, like celibate-dharma, householder-dharma, and so forth.

Some clever folk might raise a doubt and vxhini Dharma is the foundation for the vahiji of humanity; it is the truth that is stable for all time. Next, there must not be any trace of selfishness either.

Therefore, whatever subject a woman might have studied and mastered, whatever the degree she has won, whatever the status of her husband or of herself, she must hold fast to these truths; real charm consists in good character; morality is the very breath of woman; modesty, the very live force; adherence to truth is her daily duty. Can man, common man, lead a happy life and survive if he sticks to Dharma?
